Authentic Old Fashioned Maple Candy

Longer shelf life, manufacturing capacity, the variety of packaging options and quick turnaround times are just a few of the reasons why so many maple confections buyers choose Bascom Family Farms. But most important of all is our high quality maple candy product. Our maple candy is made by taking 100% pure maple syrup and cooking it into a fondant similar to taffy. We let the fondant age for two days, reheat it back to very hot syrup, then cool it rapidly while stirring it. This produces extremely fine maple sugar crystals. These fine crystals create a texture that is velvety smooth and very different from the crunchy mouth feel of a sugar cube or other maple candies. The result produces a distinctly different taste experience that can’t be matched.
